How to Clean Your Water Bottle

When your water bottle arrives at your door, you are probably excited to start using it as soon as possible (if you're anything like us)! And you should be excited - purchasing a reusable water bottle means that you are making a conscious effort to reduce plastic single-use bottle waste, as well as paper coffee cup waste.

Here are a few tips on how to clean your bottle to keep it in great condition over time!

Cleaning Your Reusable Water Bottle

We recommend cleaning your bottle after every use if you have used your bottle for storing something other than water, and once a day for storing water.

To clean your bottle, it is best to wash by hand with warm, soapy water using a natural or mild soap and a bottle brush, and leave your bottle upside down on a rack to air dry. If you're in a hurry, just a rinse with water to remove residue will do!

We always recommend hand-washing your bottles to keep them in the best shape possible.

Caring for Your Reusable Water Bottle

Our bottles are very easy to care for - simply clean after every use (or once a day if using only with water), and let air dry. Our bottles are made of durable stainless steel and break-resistant borosilicate glass and are made to be taken along on daily adventures.

Good to Know:

  • Our reusable water bottles should never be placed in the freezer as the expanding of water molecules during the freezing process can break or disfigure the bottle. With double-walled insulated bottles, freezing could damage the thermal capacity of the bottles. Glass in a freezer is also not a good idea, as it will break when the water freezes!
  • Our bottles can be placed in the refrigerator if desired, or you can add ice to the bottle!
